Getting to Niagara Falls Canada

The Niagara Region is smack dab between two of the Great Lakes: Ontario and Erie. So to get to Niagara Falls you'll need to fly into Toronto International Airport on the other side of Lake Ontario and take a bus or car for the two-hour ride around the lake to Niagara.

What's amazing is that you can see Niagara from Toronto on a clear day and vice versa. But there is no shortcut. You can also take a VIA train right into Niagara Falls from Toronto. It is a much more pleasant way to travel than the huge, busy highways; as well, you'll also get a good feel for the Niagara Region as the train takes you through many small towns and by way of the back country.

Of course, if you're coming from anywhere in North America, you can easily drive to Niagara Falls, if you have the time. You also have the option of flying into Buffalo, NY, which is approximately 35 km (22 miles) from Niagara Falls.
